The
Story

Skilplane

Skilplane is the first of its kind. A land based training vehicle which simulates realistic aircraft movements. It was designed out of necessity to fill the gap within the market, providing a safe and effective way to learn essential flying skills before you get into an aircraft.

I started my flying journey in 2021 and quickly found out how difficult it was to master the rudder controls and get used to the rolling and pitching motions of the aircraft.

After some time designing and creating my first prototype with rudder controls, I found that my skills and confidence in controlling the aircraft had increased drastically. Being able to practice these controls in a safe environment and removing the risk of damaging a full size aircraft at a fraction of the cost, I realized how valuable this training vehicle was.

In the time following this, I started to design different models which replicate the hand and foot controls commonly found in helicopters and aircraft as well as making a scaled down version for kids so they can start their flying journey at any age.
